Description
KFC launched an online campaign to help educate people on how to exercise their fingers with KFC FINGER YOGA. The exercises were co-designed by a yoga instructor and orthopedist. Step-by-step, educational video clips were produced and posted to websites and as online video clips. These simple but effective exercises can easily be practiced by anyone, anywhere, any time, in order to reduce finger stress and fatigue.
KFC FINGER YOGA helps fingers resume enjoyable and fulfilling activities. After all, life should always be finger lickin' good.
Execution
KFC wanted to reduced stresses and strains in the fingers of the target audience using yoga techniques. Not only is the activity popular with the target audience it is also a proven, well-accepted technique in the medical field. KFC joined hands with a yoga guru and an orthopedist to co-create finger yoga exercises. Step-by-step, educational online video clips were produced and blasted out on social media and at kfcfingeryoga.com so that anyone can reduce painful stress in their hands anywhere, any time.
Outcome
After the educational video clips were launched, the campaign was able to increase awareness in the smartphone generation. The target audience became more aware of the dangers of trigger finger and eagerly began using finger yoga techniques to alleviate painful symptoms.
KFC was also able to expand the brand territory of its “finger lickin’ good” slogan. Now, not only does it mean the enjoyment derived from eating fried chicken, it also includes how KFC helps fingers resume enjoyable and fulfilling activities, which makes life “finger lickin’ good”.
