OVERVIEW

Background

To relaunch The National Lottery, we created their first masterbrand TVC since they originally launched 25 years ago. This film introduced a new brand platform - ‘Amazing Starts Here’ -, but most importantly it dramatised the amazing difference the lottery could make to an ordinary hard-working family.

Gone are flashy depictions of winning. Instead, winning the lottery is shown to be something much more human and meaningful: like a new home for a fisherman and his family.

Execution

The film was shot through a lens of stark realism but also beauty. The colours were shifted slightly to the blues to evoke a sense of loneliness and hardship at sea and at home in the village.
