Background
France Télévisions is reinterpreting the Marseillaise, a rallying call to all French people, for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, a unifying event. The revisited text of the Marseillaise, proclaimed in two versions, one sung by a woman and the other by a man, advocates the values of inclusion that France Télévisions holds dear by addressing all citizens.
Idea
A cinematic film in black and white, immersive and moving, to thrill all French people, because these Games in Paris will leave their mark on the history of France and on the memory of each and every one of us. An artistic approach that puts athletes from all disciplines in the limelight, to stand out from the multitude of sports films surrounding the event.
Strategy
With this film, the broadcaster is adding the 2024 Olympic Games to France's cultural heritage. A cultural heritage that is popular, universal and, above all, alive, and that will help to keep the memory of this historic summer alive in our minds.
Execution
The main purpose of the film’s cinematography is showing the plurality of the emblematic locations of French sport, representing around twenty sports, thanks to a cast of over 170 people.
