Description

While working on this campaign, we found a very particular insight: Argentine fans of the series make a parallel between the unscrupulous acts of politician Frank Underwood with Argentine political corruption. It was for this reason that we draped this campaign under the concept "In The Rest Of The World it’s fiction," as our aim was to find similarities and draw comparisons between what happened in the series and in the local political arena.

In other countries, House Of Cards S4 was promoted like any other political campaign; but we were in Argentina, that’s why we decided to use a dirty political campaign format. Thus, every execution sought to make conspiratorial wink to both fans of the series and those Argentines who are distrustful of political maneuvering.

Execution

A week before launch, we bribed Argentine journalists and ad influencers to favor Frank. We sent them a single comfortable slipper to enjoy while watching S4 at their home. Yes, only one. Instead of the second there was a letter signed by Frank, instructing them to support him on social networks in exchange for the missing slipper. The extortive letter included a personalized P.S. mentioning a private aspect of the influencer to make sure they understand that their best option was to collaborate with Frank.
