Description
We placed a table in a totally new location. We hosted a luncheon at which genius-class visitors and Kyotoites meet together and share their knowledge. As a souvenir of the event, we produced a series of tongue-in-cheek Kyoto rule books. By opening the books, a fresh new level of communication can be achieved with Kyotoites.
Execution
We produced a series of books with the title of, "MEANWHILE IN KYOTO." In cooperation with various shops and temples, we compiled information about Kyoto.
Outcome
Support from Kyoto area businesses has grown rapidly, bringing a fresh new synergy to Kyoto. Fans of Kyoto — Japan's No. 1 tourist destination — are expected to grow as they learn to appreciate not just its history, but also its "live" appeal.
