Background
Uber Eats is seen as a fast food delivery app. Our brief was to tell people that they deliver so much more than that and launch groceries on the platform.
Two films celebrate single deliveries and show people enjoying their effortlessly acquired groceries, in their very own peculiar ways. In one film we see the joy of ice cream being delivered on a sweltering, hot day. In another film, we see a downtime moment of someone enjoying a glass of wine.
Execution
We searched for something much more innate than actors purely filling a written role. It was a case of finding people to be their authentic self, people who posted a natural charisma that no amount of direction, costume, or design would solve. The casting team spent time searching wide, across the UK and France, to see who came back in the door. Ultimately, we ended up with two people who withheld a strong sense of self and a magnetism that is compelling.
