Background
Scotland is the only country in the world where Coca Cola isn't the number one soft drink. IRN-BRU is. Scotland's legendary soft drink has a long history of boundary-pushing advertising and this was the latest instalment. Going back to its strongman roots (originally the drink of choice for the tough Glasgow shipbuilders) and it's advertising heritage (Made In Scotland from Girders), GET SOME IRN IN YOU was a new campaign for a fearless, 'don't give a fuck' generation who love to take the piss and laugh at the world.
Execution
In IRN-HAIRDO, a man's hair has had enough of his boring, unfulfilled life. Buoyed by his new-found strength, he decides to leave. Early one morning, he walks off the guy's head, picks up his things and announces that he's going. The guy is shocked. But worse is to come. The hair is "taking the littles ones with him". The guy's eyebrows jump off his face and leave with the hair.
