Cardboard cut-outs were fixed to the air conditioner thermostat. When people turned the dial to decrease the room temperature, the number of penguins to be seen on the cut-out decreased and the exhaust emissions from the power plant were seen to increase.
Outcome
100 percent of respondents were moved and expressed that they would take the initiative in conserving energy and preventing global warming from then on.
