Insight:
Thailand's Advertising industry has become too serious especially when it comes to advertising themselves to clients. Its all talk about how creative they are.
Strategy:
Demonstrate our creativity through enabling clients to achieve what they were thinking…Should I fire my agency? At the same time we created conversation about Saatchi & Saatchi, all whilst sharing our own story.
Idea:
‘Goodbye My Agency’, a mobile site that generates 100’s of tongue-in-cheek emails clients could use to fire their agency. The site also lets clients call for a direct pitch from Saatchi & Saatchi, learn more about us and even invite our CEO for a coffee.
Execution
We ran a print ad on the back cover of The Advertising Book with provocative question 'Need an excuse to fire your agency?' together with a QR code directing viewer to a mobile site.
'Goodbye My Agency' is the mobile site works as a generator of hundreds tongue-in-cheek emails which clients can use to fire their agency. The site also lets clients call for a direct pitch against Saatchi & Saatchi. Clients can learn more about us and even invite our CEO for a coffee.
Outcome
Fame. The agency's creativity was demonstrated throughout Thailand and the worldwide advertising industry. Besides the buzz and shares created, we received many calls from clients and even agencies congratulating us bringing the fun back to our industry.
