Description

An international, interactive online experience.CLIENTThe Sloecentrale is the most powerful, flexible and green power plant in the Netherlands. It took an investment of 700 million Euro. Sloecentrale BV is owned by EDF (France) and DELTA (The Netherlands): two very different companies, two very different cultures.BRIEFINGTo bond the cultures of these two industrial giants into one powerful company we developed an interactive online experience.

The Sloecentrale has opened its doors on 12th February 2010 in the presence of 1000 entrepreneurs and politicians from France, England, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

PRODUCTWe created 14 short movies (including the movies of this all-European gathering) which are integrated in one experience on the website of Sloecentrale BV.

Each movie does have its specific theme and goal. The visitor is encouraged to find the movies that appeal to him/her. A few examples; * Eternal Energy. A metaphorical image of the immense meaning of energy for life. Poetic, feminine, touching.

* Babylon: an emotional impression how international capital and labour from over twenty countries, cultures and values create from millions of grains of sand a innovative gas turbine power plant. Babylon gives us a grasp of the power of the human mind.* In other films we see music, dreams, control, prejudice, togetherness as themes.The interactive interface is made to be continuously interesting and appealing.

INTERFACEThe interface is built to add value to the clients website. The 50:9 ratio adds a rich experience to the corporate website, even if sound is turned off in corporate environment. Why stick to TV screen aspect ratio on corporate websites?The familiar sound control is encouraging the visitor to turn on the sound. When he/she does, the alternative texts will reveal the interactive possibilities of the banner and encourage the user to play around with it. Where corporate video traditionally is one-way communication, this is interactive banner is involving the viewer in the experience.In short; emotion and imagination gives this online experience the necessary international and -cultural charisma and also a communicative power of up to 870 MW.
