Background

Guardian is stronger amongst the Chinese market in Malaysia. We wanted to tap into the Malay market which is 60% of the population, and Eid Mubarak is the perfect occasion. While building brand relevance during a festive occasion was important, we were also presented with the challenge of selling a range of products that were not related to each other.

The objective for this campaign is to sell skincare products along with other promotions to a young Malay target audience during the Raya period.

Description

A king on a deer hunt is saved from drowning by a mysterious woman with a beautiful voice. She disappears before he can even thank her.

The king seeks and finds the woman who is later revealed to have bad complexion. He insists that he cares for her the beauty of her heart first, and says that everything external can be fixed with a quick visit to Guardian - where all her skin ailments can be solved.

Execution

The entire Eid Mubarak campaign for Guardian was for a duration of 1 month.

Placement of video was purely on Guardian's Facebook page, with minimal boosting budget. Film was viewed a total of 7.1 million times across Malaysia and its neighbouring countries.
