OVERVIEW

Background

When people injure themselves during outdoor sports, they often leave behind rubbish that harms nature: plasters that do not rot for years. Hansaplast has developed the "Green & Protect" plasters to combat this. These environmentally friendly plasters are made from natural fibres and can help to minimise this problem. We created a poster that shows people practising a high-risk sport: climbers crossing a gorge. From above, their tracks look like sutures. This illustrates the serious consequences of getting injured in nature and leaving rubbish behind.

Execution

Most of the images used were licensed, while others were created in CGI. From these we digitally assembled a large abstract image. The individual elements were colour adjusted to make it look like ONE photo. It was sharpened, the contrasts were tightened, the colours were adjusted and a look was put over it.

Outcome

The work helped to establish Hansaplast as an environmentally conscious brand with consumers and made them more aware of the consequences of their actions. With every sale of “Green & Protect” plasters, the environment has more of a chance to survive our outdoor activities unharmed.
