OVERVIEW

Background

Chocolate is a sensual product. But it used to be advertised only for one sense – sight. Wedel decided to change the game and advertise the chocolate to the other sense – hearing. The sound of breaking Wedel’s legendary Dark Chocolate is crunchy and different, because the process of making it is unique (the only oil used in its production is cocoa oil). Based on that feature we’ve recorded all the sounds from the production process (cutting the cocoa mass, pouring cocoa beans, cracking the chocolate, whipping the powder etc.). These sounds were used to compose a unique musical peace. When the music was ready, all of the sounds were combined with abstract scenography, showing every part of the process. That’s how this unique content was made – a chocolate campaign based on sounds that give an unexpected experience in the confectionery category. 15,000,000 people experienced the taste of it.

Execution

We have made the music which contains only the sounds recorded from the production process of chocolate. This audio track was the base for the 360 campaign. Thanks to the extraordinary sounds people could experience the taste of chocolate in a new way – by hearing it.
