Description

Synth artist Sapien wanted to release his debut album, 'HELLO MANKIND', online. The brief was to create a journey that would allow visitors to understand each track’s meaning. With the increasingly impatient internet audience, the challenge was to create a memorable journey.

CAPTCHA has traditionally been used to test if the user is human, but in this case, we used it to display each song’s name typographically as well. The verification process also complements the album’s name - HELLO MANKIND.

The album was downloaded a few thousand times since launch, buoyed by healthy conversation on Twitter.

Execution

Retro-themed gifs take the visitor through a 7-part storyline of the concept album. CAPTCHA has traditionally been used to test if the user is human, but in this case, we used it to display each song’s name typographically as well. The verification process also complements the album’s name: HELLO MANKIND.
