In order to deliver a high-impact, memorable experience we needed to show Floridians what HSR would mean to them, their state, and their future. Simply showing them what a Velaro (the HSR train) would look like would not be enough. We needed to look beyond the train itself and expand the story. This campaign needed to deliver two important things to the target audience: 1) information on the importance of high-speed rail, such as creating local jobs, positive economic impact and sustainable technology, and 2) why Siemens and Florida Rail Ventures is the right company to bring HSR to Florida.
Outcome
Overall, The Future of Florida High-Speed Rail Tour has exceeded expectations for attendance, media coverage, public participation and key stakeholder support. During six total activation days (four in Tampa, two in Orlando) the event had over 5,000 unique visitors, and received over 670 million media impressions.
