Description
40´000.000 of Colombians are Catholic. They treasure and respect one type of water: The holy one. So we asked the bishops to bless water of the entire country and invite people to protect and preserve this sacred liquid.
Execution
Bishops blessed water in their Eucharists all over the country to stop the splurging, then we went further and they went out of their churches to bless ALL WATER. Water from rivers, creeks, lagoons, reservoirs, aqueducts and even house water tanks.
Then we allied with leaders from other religions to reach 100% of the population and make our message even bigger.
Outcome
Thanks to the campaign, colombians change their behavior and water wasting was reduced not only by 20% (our objetive), but 97%.
Also, the message reach other religions and the whole country work together in a six months period to going from 7.600.000 cubic meters of water wasted to only 160.000 cubic meters.
