Description

To promote this new method of energy generation, the creative team of Hydrogen Energy R&D Center organized the basic system infomation and visualized its invisible generation processes. The compelling contents and visualation helps visitors to connect with the social demands, market background, and innovations of Toshiba’s hydrogen energy system.

We set up the creative team consisting of member with various professional expertise including architects, and product/UX/communication designers to create a space in which visitors can experience the contents as a dynamic process.

In addition to understanding the basis of the hydrogen energy system, they can also become familiar with actual use case scenarios. This makes it easier for visitors to imagine the applications of hydrogen energy and and so Toshiba also use the centre for business meeting.

Execution

Hydorogen is promising next-generation energy resource which has many beneifts over less reliable naturel energy sources such as solar and wind energy.

Though this next-gen energy resource has very strong potential, people are not yet familiar with it. It is therefore important to communicate the benefits of Hydrogen fuel cell energy, to make it more popular in the society.

Hydrogen Energy R&D Center is an advanced research and developement hub supporting multiple research fields in hydrogen production technology, hydrogen storage, and fuell cell generation. At the same time, information centre for the public, promoting hydrogen as a next-generation energy solution.

The creative team used several software platforms to visualize the invisible systems of hydrogen generation in quantitative ways. They also developed the scenarios to describe the merits of hydrogen energery in a more evocative and imaginative manner.

Outcome

The center opened its doors in April 2015. At present the visitor are mainly business people from the field of power generation, administrative officers, or officers of public transportations.
