The film depicts characters in different situations and phases of life where nurses play an important role. The situations follow the lifecycle, and in the final scene we see an elderly woman in an hospital getting an urgent ailment. She starts to pull the emergency pull cord, but no one comes to the rescue. The film ends with the message: "Will I be there in the future? There is a nursing shortage.
