Description
Since two great motivators for people are health trackers and discounts, we combined the two and created the app ICA Healthcounter. The idea was simple – the more you move the more discount (on Good Life products) you get.
Execution
There were no limits on how many times you could reedeem your discount. Of course you had to earn it. Once a coupon was redeemed you had to keep excersising in order to get your new discount. For added motivation we created challenges like extra discount when running on irregular hours. The app was launched with a nationwide campaign, with TV, outdoor and digital media.
Outcome
The Healthcounter app was a sucess! Only 24 hours after the release the app was number one on the Swedish App Store. The app has over 160 000 downloads so far. After the first month of the campaign sales of the Good Life products rose with 48%!
