We promoted IKEA’s storage solutions exactly where the demand for them is – while shoppers are shopping for fashion online.
We created a banner with a simple design: a Hemnes drawer located at the bottom of fashion shopping sites. It opened when users scrolled up and down the site. So they were shopping, but at the same time packing all the items on the page into, or out of, the dresser drawer. With a simple banner we turned whole shopping sites into IKEA online ads. And drew attention to IKEA’s storage solutions. We ended up with a click-rate of 6,4%.
Execution
The IKEA Mega Drawer Banners demonstrated IKEA’s range of small storage solutions in a surprising new way exactly where consumers have the greatest demand for storage solutions: when they are shopping for fashion online.
Outcome
With one simple banner we turned whole shopping sites into IKEA online ads. And drew the attention of shoppers to IKEA’s range of small storage solutions. The Mega Drawer Banner ended up with a click-rate of 6,4%.
