We decided to target art directors using their main work tool as a new media channel: Photoshop, world’s leading image editing software. The goal was to surprise them, showing that where they are used to seeing photos, they also able to see movies. The first PSD Film, created to be watched only using Photoshop is actually a regular Photoshop file (.psd) in which each layer features a frame of the movie. By hitting “space”, the layers are animated and a film is shown. The file could be downloaded on banners and on a website, and was also sent on a pen drive and through e-mail marketing.
Outcome
After the first month, search for films and scenes increased 31,9%, and footage sales increased 17,92%. The project was posted on many advertising blogs around the world, creating a Buzz that immediately associated Latin Stock with Films. And by creating a new and unexpected media channel Latin Stock surprised its target and made clear its full solution approach.
