Killnoise produces high quality earplugs in a market that is dominated by cheap products made by global brands. Customers aren’t even aware of the quality differences in this sector. The objective was to inform professional users about the existence of premium earplugs and to convince them to pay a premium price for extra quality.
By communicating the mailing on design websites worldwide, we created a buzz that reached far further then only the 60 boxes we had originally sent. The uniqueness of the idea and the quality of the execution captured people’s attention.
People who actually received the mailings posted pictures of it online and got together with the ones that had only read about it on blogs. This way, they realized that this was more than a design exercise, but a truly innovative way of informing people about a simple, but effectIve product.
Since the mailing was sent out, traffic on the Killnoise website has been raised and the sales grew more then 10%. More over Killnoise has received countless positive reactions from artists and musicians – even though the amount of mailings sent was very small.
