Description
In Brazil, the national language is Portuguese. That’s why all the sitcoms, films and even video clips aired in English come with subtitles.
Considering that some radio stations play English songs almost exclusively, we thought: What if the songs on the radio also had subtitles? And what if this new technology was embraced by our client, Cultura Inglesa Language School? We synchronised the RDS (Radio Data System), that displays text on the radio screen, with the radio station’s song list, thus creating the first subtitle system for radio ever.
After each song/translation, the following message would appear on the radio screen: For the things in life that don’t come with subtitles: www.culturainglesa.com.br Now, the client has a unique space and format to speak to its audience, and the audience now has a free and functional translating service while they are listening to the radio.
