Description
To design a customer-oriented business centre that links Barclays global business regions, showcases Barclays breadth of business knowledge and resources and delivers functional accessibility in an easy to understand and usable way.
Execution
To be flexible, a series of curved panels were designed. For simple use, each 200kg panel was designed with aerofoil interior and think timber veneer exterior, suspended on a track above the ceiling without touching the floor. Each panel can be moved into the 'Knowledge centre' or 'conference' position with just a finger!Regional personalities designed in reception and conference room areas. A variety of materials reduced and used in impactful layout.
Outcome
The current success is measured by a full event calendar and a positive response from customers who are requesting to use its facilities more frequently than expected.
