OVERVIEW

Description

We developed a digital platform that connected with influencers to give stray dogs a voice. A voice that allowed them to ask for the same thing every Puerto Rican was asking for. Help. A voice so loud that even the world renowned "Dog Whisperer" himself, Cesar Milan was able to hear and respond to making our plea for help reach mass media outlets from pet lovers all around the world.

Execution

Lend a Paw became the official voice for our pets through relevant compelling content that was shared all through social media both in Puerto Rico and the United States. The message was directed to potential donors and volunteers to visit www.dameunapatita.com so that could donate, volunteer or share the voice. Our first influencer started a challenge while our tv spot and ooh ads, together with a robust online presence through share of voice. Day after day more influencers from Puerto Rico whom lived in the island and many who were abroad, joined our initiative immediately. This helped our message reach very important influencers like Cesar Millan, the top voice for dogs in the United States. Much needed media outlets after Hurricane María devastated most media in the island.

Outcome

With minimum media outlets available because of the devastation of Hurricane María, we were able to drive a very compelling message that connected with our target and helped us surpass our $50,000 goal by 70% earning more than $85,000.

Over 400 volunteers and dozens of influencers showed their support helping us achieve more than 100 million impressions in social media, a relevance score of 7 and $673,272 in non paid media.
