Idea
The concept of the album "Future Nostalgia" is visualised with a Japanese interpretation. To match the song with its space motif lyrics and 80s sound, we created a sci-fi animation music video with the vibe of Japanese 80s-90s anime. The officials went all out to create a fan-art-like expression and aimed to make a splash.
Strategy
The release date of the video was set to be the date of the tour announcement, and the actual name of the tour was also mentioned in the video to serve as PR for the live tour.
Execution
Released the video on the artist's official YouTube channel.
Outcome
It spread organically, and as of 15th February, the video had been viewed 10.5 million times. The music video has been featured on TV programs, magazines and in other media, making it a highly cost-effective promotion.
