Description

Paralympic powerlifter Adeline Dumapong is the first Paralympic Medalist in the Philippines. The film follows her journey of discovering the sport of powerlifting. Diagnosed with polio as a little girl, a young Adeline finds an escape from her physical limitations through sports, as she excels in lifting weights. She talks about going through many kinds of pain, both emotional and physical, in her desire to train and perfect her sport. Her passion and persistence pays off with various medal finishes abroad, capped by a bronze in the 2000 Sydney Paralympic

Games. The film, presented by Advil, celebrates a human being’s enduring spirit and how one can prevail through life’s many pains.
