Description
This is a recreation of a real type of 9-1-1 call in which a victim of domestic violence pretends to order a pizza so as not to arouse the suspicion of her abuser who is nearby. The 9-1-1 operator eventually picks up on the real reason for the call and sends help.
Execution
By bringing a chilling 9-1-1 call to life in which a woman is forced to mask her cry for help by pretending to order a pizza, we were able to show how isolating and terrifying it is to be a victim of domestic violence. We also demonstrated that by listening for the signs, we all have the tools to help those who need it most.
