OVERVIEW

Background

This commercial uses a very unexpected song to make the point that the new Silverado is not just for traditional Chevy truck people.

Execution

Chevrolet Silverado has laid claim as “The Official Truck of Real People,” and this execution was designed to make that case, distinctly and anthemically. The goal was to find real, authentic people with genuine, expressive faces that represent the range of expected (Little Bit Country) and unexpected (Little Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll) truck people. Those we call “The New Generation of Strong.”

These folks see being strong, capable and dependable as a responsibility. A responsibility to do more for others: family, friends, community, even strangers. A responsibility to do more for themselves: work harder, play more, grow skills, add to experiences and push limits.

We cast real people who share this keen sense of responsibility, who authentically brought their own passion to the lyrics and the lifestyle, helping us show that Silverado is the key to not just fulfilling truck tasks, but living a richer, fuller life.
