The need was to capture everyone’s imagination and the best way to do that would be to give people a piece of his magic before the show had begun. We did that by taking 3 billboards at one of the busiest and most prominent intersections in Mumbai and converting them into a huge magic act. For one week, thousands of passer-bys got a preview of Magia 2009.
Outcome
As a result of the communication, the event was an unprecedented success. More than 4000 fans showed up at The Gateway of India and Bandra Reclamation, the areas where Cartik annually performs his magic, all wanting to be a part of the show. The idea succeeded in reaffirming Cartik the Conjuror’s status as Mumbai’s most original street magician.
