The Kuoni Brochures app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Included in the regulations, you’re not allowed to:• Criticise religion• Describe sex• Be harmful to kids in any way• Cross certain lines (not defined)Apps added to the Apple Store also should be:• Useful or provide lasting entertainment• ProfessionalThe app is also subject to British marketing legislation.
Execution
The app was marketed in Kuoni’s own channels such as websites, social media and newsletters.
Outcome
The app has been a success for Kuoni and will be followed with more issues of other Kuoni destinations. It also received a gold medal at the global content marketing contest the Pearl Awards in New York in November 2011.
