By its sheer size and imposing surface, the execution will have permitted to surprise the subway users by allowing them to participate in the future of Olympic success of Alexandre Despatie. Elements in this initiative included the making of the floor as a pool bottom, 2 superboards on the walls acting as diving boards, 2 boards showing Alexandre coming out of the pool and 1 Graffiti style board containing words of encouragement.
Outcome
The McDonald's initiative reached much more than the regular subway users. Thanks to the press conference, there were journalistic fall-outs in the evening news. Also, according to a survey, 28% of Montrealers saw the spectacular station (1/3 of the city)
