Big Mac turned 50 and McDonald’s Switzerland celebrated with its customers with a contagious and culturally relevant campaign: The Big Mac remains beautifully the same against decades of evolution.

First launched in 1968, the Big Mac celebrated its 50 years anniversary in 2018. To celebrate this icons role in culture and the fact that the Big Mac has kept on being loved throughout the decades and across all target groups, McDonald's Switzerland created a campaign that celebrated 50 years of Big Mac and communicated its iconic role in culture along all target groups.

The creative approach was to let 50 artists from around the world re-interpret it’s iconic build on 50 unique posters. Turning the icon in one of 2018 using typography and design relevant to each theme and era. The execution vary using model building, screen printing, photo copying, different typography styles, 3D-Design, Vector and even programming to make each Poster a unique piece of art.
