Description
In Germany every form of commercial advertising has to be paid in order to be seen. Even on Facebook. Only if you have really interesting content, your story will be shared by the Facebook community without paying for Facebook advertisements.
Execution
A funny hollywood-styled announcement film raised awareness for the campaign and after only two days it had been shared nearly 3,000 times and received 24,000 likes.
Then the participants had to guess how many trucks would be needed to transport 1 million cent coins. After the winner was named, 193 #moneytrucks roared down the road to a small town called Saßmicke. On their way they posted photos of their way through Germany. 193 #moneytrucks delivered exactly 1,000,000 cent coins to the lucky winner. A film documented the event and was published on Facebook and YouTube.
Outcome
From the trailer clip and the photo documentary of the journey to the delivery event itself we created a story worth 6 weeks of content with more than 60,000 participants and over 16.9 million reach. After the campaign, we generated over 70,000 new fans and more than 1.7 million people talked about it.
The announcement film received more than 24,000 likes and 3,000 shares in only two days.
