Description

Hi is the mobile provider for young people in the Netherlands. The objective of this online commercial was to raise awareness of the new Hi online SMS Storage Box. While people used to store love letters in a drawer for safekeeping, young people today save text messages that they just can’t bear to part with. That’s why Hi has developed the online SMS Storage Box. So that everyone can now save all their unforgettable and treasured text messages forever. We gain a glimpse into the life of a totally mobile girl. We discover that she just can’t let go of her text messages. The thought of getting rid of even one is heart-wrenching to her because even the shortest text message is precious to her. That’s why Hi has introduced the online SMS Storage Box so she will never have to part with a text message again.

Execution

On New Year’s Eve at 12 o'clock, a majority of Holland celebrates New Year’s by setting off fireworks. Every year an average of 930 people are disfigured by misusing their fireworks.

In the weeks before New Year's Eve, Hi sent 50,000 firework fuses to Hi mobile users. Reason why: No fingers, no text messaging (we know Hi mobile users are addicted to text messaging).
