Description

As the internet became a primary tool in automobile research and buying, Volkswagen wanted to stay ahead of the curve. In May of 2000, they took advantage of two new limited edition New Beetle colors - reflex and vapor - to launch their online buying model. There were only 2000 of each color available online at their respective vw.com URLs. With the help of print and TV for this special edition offer, the website went on to be a huge success.
