OVERVIEW

Description

Linkedin is the most renowned recruitment social network. To avoid discrimination we decided to change the way of selecting potential candidates by developing an extension of Chrome. When the extension is installed in the computers of HHRR Managers, it immediately hides the data that may disclose the gender and name, and highlights the skills of Linkedin’s profiles. Thus companies receive the candidates’ key information, and employees are then hired based on their merits regardless of gender.

Execution

Linkedin is the social network of professionals and also the best place for companies to find talents.

We developed a Google Chrome plugin that changes the way searches are performed. When it is installed on the computers of the Recruitment Managers, it hides information that reveals the gender of the candidates, such as name and profile photography. In this way, companies are able to find candidates based on their skills, while avoiding gender discrimination.

To launch our initiative and generate buzz, we took advantage of the media coverage displayed at The International Women's Day reaching key Managers from more than 12 large companies who adopted the tool. No Gender Profiles is not only used for their recruitment processes but is also part of their business communication.

Outcome

More than 4,500,000 media impressions.

Considered as the most widespread initiative to date at local level.

Specialized international press stated that it was one of the best ideas launched on The International Women's Day 2017.

People from 12 large companies use the tool to hire staff without gender discrimination.

More than 2000 candidate searches per month, avoiding gender discrimination.
