We created a website, www.proyectoconciencaglobal.org, which offered an application capable of predicting catastrophes. When executed, a fictitious virus took over the computer.In the end, the secret key to discover The Signal’s website was provided with technology to send a personalised virus. Geek bloggers helped us spread the joke.Furthermore, we included extra content that took the reader back to the Internet again. The Signal, the first novel that begins and ends on the Internet.
Outcome
The THE SIGNAL website was talked about in over 100 blogs and 16 media outlets that echoed our campaign. The whole thing reached 875.000 users.Average time on the website was almost 4 minutes, which proves the content kept the user’s interest.As of today, for the search entry «La Señal”», our website is the first result in Google.
