History always looks inevitable in retrospect. But a lot of work goes into it. In April 2011, President Obama was facing one of the toughest re-election fights any incumbent had faced in years. Over the next 19 months, a team of digital strategists and technologists came together to do what was needed to win: run nothing short of the most ground breaking digital campaign in political history. The results: $690 million raised online, a record-breaking number of Americans becoming a part of the political process through social media, mobile, and the web, and 332 electoral votes on November 6, 2012.
