The Black Pearl Racing site creates a destination to leverage Disney's partnership with the Volvo Ocean Race (VOR) project, while showcasing the Pirates of the Caribbean (POC) film, creating hype leading up to the June 06 release. The site captures the essence of the VOR competition; the drama, excitement and endurance of the world's most extreme team sporting event. The design utilises various interactive elements creating an engaging environment targeted towards core race fans, sports enthusiasts, Media, Corporate Partners and Disney Stakeholders. Site content is updated via custom CMS and VOR RSS feeds of news and race standings automatically.
