Over two months, the hosts’ “impromptu” visits were televised on their popular shows, De Boca a Boca (What’s the Gossip?) and Cita Con Las Estrellas (Date With the Stars). Visits with soap opera stars mothering newborn infants included bringing them Pampers Chamomile gift baskets on Mother’s Day in May and Father’s Day in June. Viewers were rewarded with an intimate peek into the stars’ lives and how they care for their babies.
Outcome
Measures of aided ad awareness grew by 5% and Pampers trial increased by 8% versus the month prior to the programme. Pampers Celebrity Home Visits were recalled 44-49% by moms, a strong result. The TV advertising, with consistent messaging yet considerably more expenditure, was recalled by 74% of the target.
