Background
Freshly roasted coffee dropped directly to your door - that’s the simple idea behind Parachute Coffee. The coffee is selectively harvested and then shipped immediately upon order. Delivered to any home across Canada within 48 hours - just as fast as airmail with a parachute. Our task was to create outstanding packaging to ensure the brand success on the Canadian coffee market.
Idea
At a time where thousands of different coffee brands with big budgets are competing for attention we had to find a simple and smart solution to get into the customer’s kitchen. So, we didn’t just do a promotion around the product but made the product a promotional item itself.
Execution
A one-of-a-kind business idea and name obviously need packaging that is just as unique. We developed a pouch with straps that not only looks like a parachute but also works like one. A red rip cord transforms opening the coffee bag into a unique, memorable and fun ritual.
Outcome
This showstopping package was delivered to the first 1,500 customers after the brand launch in Canada. It brought refreshing flavor into the kitchen and transformed stale coffee routines into fresh coffee rituals. Furthermore, it was an eye-catcher that made people talk about the brand, making the Packaging itself a promotional item.
