Bulmers Apple cider has been produced in the orchards of Clonmel, a small rural town in Ireland’s county Tipperary, for seventy five years. Many of the workers in Bulmers have been there for years, as were their father’s before them. Tradition and old fashioned values dictate their lives, as does a professional obsession with crafting cider made from the fruit of apple trees they plant, tend and care for.This commercial explores what happens when such traditionalists are suddenly confronted with a new cider they need to make, not from their beloved apples but from…pears. A traumatic transition that the company hopes to ease them through by bringing in a professional counselor! This commercial, as with the other Bulmer’s commercials entered, was shot on location in the Bulmer’s Clonmel orchard and features actual Bulmer’s workers as well as actors.
