Execution

We recorded videos of hundreds of dogs from Pedigree-supported animal shelters. Through chroma keying, we could later change the background of these videos. We used this material to create a screen saver that would show the videos in random order (one at a time) as well as phone numbers for adoption. We invited companies, stores and other places with public computers to install the screen saver, and we also made it available as a free download. Since the screen saver was hosted online, we could update it whenever necessary. This way, dogs that were adopted could be replaced with others that were still waiting for a new owner.

Outcome

The Screen Saver was distributed to over 78,000 people.

On launch day, the Screen and Dog Saver was a highlight on Pedigree Adoption’s fanpage.

The brand found a way to get closer to dog lovers through a new media channel that proved to be extremely relevant in their everyday lives.

And what’s more important: we placed hundreds of homeless dogs literally in front of potential adopters.
