Description
To hype the arrival of everything you love about PlayStation coming to life in the Bay Area, we created a series of posters in the vein of the city’s iconic tourism posters that brought fan-favorite PlayStation characters and properties to the Bay Area for the first time.
Execution
Each poster was inspired by the classic tourism posters of Golden Gate park, but with one eye-catching addition: each poster featured an iconic Bay Area landmark like The Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz, married with an iconic piece of PlayStation IP like Uncharted or The Last Guardian. The result was a series of beautiful posters that become exclusive, collectable items themselves
Outcome
Our posters were the most sought after piece of merchandise at the PlayStation Experience conference in 2015, selling out before any other item.
• Each poster, limited to an exclusive edition of 1,000 prints was sold out before Day 1 of the conference ended.
• The posters were the highest performing image on our Snapchat Story the weekend of the conference.
• The posters were so sought after that they wound up on eBay after the event, fetching as much as $100.
