In celebration of LGBT Pride month and the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, YouTube is honoring LGBT athletes and their supporters who stand up for diversity in sports to help create an equal and inclusive playing field for everyone.
Execution
We used the biggest sporting event in the world, the World Cup, to launch a global initiative to rally fans, celebrities and athletes in support of gay athletes.
Outcome
The initiative garnered 5 million views and worldwide coverage with 32,000 media mentions and 970 million social impressions.
