Description

The idea was unique and bold for any Prime Minister to have a strong political satire on self! We made a political film having a strong satire that negatively portrayed the PM for all the developmental work done by him. The message highlighted upon the Prime Minister’s good work of development but in a satirical way. The approach was the first in the history of Indian political scenario. To convey this effectively, Mr. Jimit Trivedi, a youth icon from Gujarati Cinema, was made a protagonist who convinced the audience that the PM’s intentions for Development were in favour of the nation. He introduced himself as ‘I am Development, I am Gujarat’.

Execution

We chose a set of Salon, because that’s where the most of informal interactions happen with strangers. Our protagonist, Jimit Trivedi, interrupted their negative conversation about Modi, followed by later convincing them of Modi to be the only champion of development in the country. The film was shot in a day’s time including the pre production and post production days, which spanned four days.

The film was released on 21st October 2017.

From ideation to execution, the script, shoot, edit and final release of the film were done within a span of 4 days.

Social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp through the medium of influence-rs.

This film became talk of the town, earning more than 25 million views as well as millions of shares, re-tweets, and WhatsApp forwards.

Outcome

Due to the original and hard hitting content, this film earned more than 62.5 million views, 2.9 million shares & re-tweets and millions of WhatsApp forwards, and that too all organic.

The film was shared by millions. It was so much appreciated that Mr. Modi’s supporters even got it translated and dubbed in their own regional languages, which increased its shareability. It became most talked about in the social media due to thousands of comments and conversations.

There was no sales objective for the client.

The innovative content touched the hearts of the millions, setting a trend in political communication! It ultimately got opinions converted into votes. And our client BJP won the elections in the state! Target achieved!
