Execution
The idea was to have the polio victims go from door to door as living proof of what could happen if a child does not receive its due dose of pulse polio oral vaccine. We gathered an enthusiastic team of polio victims from a centre that helps in their rehabilitation. Men who could barely walk took the effort of going door to door, spreading awareness about Pulse Polio Immunization and the approaching Pulse Polio Day. So that the generations to come could live in a polio free world.
Outcome
Pulse Polio camps and booths were set-up in every corner of the city. On the 9th of November 2008 the turnout for Pulse Polio Immunization was at a record high. 883,184 children were taken to the Pulse Polio immunization booths.
A big step towards realizing the dream of a polio free world.
