MEC HUNGARY, Budapest / MAGYAR TELEKOM / 2017
Magyar Telekom is the main sponsor of Vivcittá Budapest, one of the largest running events is Hungary. Telekom provides a great deal of technological service around the event, like extra 4G towers, free wi-fi, optical internet to back it up, but those are going unnoticed, they just work as technology really should.
So Telekom wanted to find way to show the human value that can be created with the use of these technologies, thus renewing the perception of Telekom as a sponsor, from a brand who gives magenta as a color, and a couple of large T logos, to brand that has memorable and useful services.
Runners proudly share their time, their personal best and the selfies they take before and after, but unless a family member take a snapshot along the route, they have no documentation of their run. Nothing to share.
This was the perfect opportunity for Telekom tech to shine. We built a system that records slow-motion videos of every single runner along the track – we mixed these clips with real time aerial shots and mood clips from Budapest, added music and supers with each runner’s personal statistics. Then the videos were emailed as a personal gift from Telekom to every runner shortly after the race.
