OVERVIEW

Execution

By the end of March, around 20 funny messages were recorded with Simone (SNCF official voice) and Philippe Peythieu (Homer Simpson’s French voice). Messages were to be broadcasted all day long between “real” ones, within 15 big French railways stations (4 in Paris, Rouen, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Marseille, etc…).

For example:Homer: “Toc toc toc (on the microphone); are you there? What if we all kissed each other instead of not looking at each other? Yes, yes, let’s kiss each other, yes, you too, even the monsieur who doesn’t smell very good in his mouth. Would you like a chewing-gum?”Simone: “Madame, Monsieur, if you need further information about your trip, please go at the dedicated reception desk.”Homer: “That is good information, clear, accurate one. I take your hat off to you, Madame. And if by chance you have time to have dinner, or dance, or even worst…”

Outcome

Travellers had fun at hearing the messages: “I’m the king of the world, I talk in the station microphone! I love you people!.. Just kidding, he?..” etc…Then first testimonies pour in blogs and social networks, particularly on the FB group: “Thank you SNCF”, “we won”, “HUUUUUUUGE”, “lol”, etc...

Everyone is unanimous and salute both boldness and listening capacity of SNCF.

Videos are uploaded and journalists eventually relay the event on internet (lefigaro.fr, yahoo.fr, ouestfrance.fr, metro.fr…), radio (France Inter, RMC…) and TV (LCI, TF1…).Thin investment, big results: huge 100% positive buzz, restored relationship with the audience and instantaneous demonstration of SNCF modernity.
